At Lansdowne Woodward, we have a history of supporting local sports teams. Our partnerships include associations with the Bournemouth Bears & Razors basketball teams and Hamworthy United Football Club, amongst others. This season, we have been proud to sponsor the Bournemouth Lions Rugby Club.

The club, under new ownership since August 2024, has experienced a remarkable turnaround this season. The club was acquired by businessmen Richard Carr, Drew Mellor, and Matthew Barker, who have set ambitious goals, including reaching the premiership within seven to 10 years. Following the takeover, the team has secured 15 wins out of 17 games, placing them second in the Regional 2 South Central league.

Lansdowne Woodward Director, Steve Martinez, confirmed the company’s commitment to the community ‘’Supporting local sports teams like the Bournemouth Lions is vital for community development. Such sponsorships provide financial stability, enabling clubs to focus on performance and community engagement.
